This is something Jason & I have been really thinking about with Cole. Now that I have two children to care for all day - it's even more important that Cole really takes responsibility for his own things. Later in life, we will change the focus not just from his possessions to his actions.
"for each one should carry his own load." Galations 6:5 (NIV)
Lord, please help my children to care about their possessions - enough that they want to take responsibility for them. Please help them to see how their actions effect others, and, be willing to do the right thing when they have made a mistake. Amen.
